before i founded common knowledge I was a TV producer who spent waaay too much time in front of a screen. Back then my job was to keep other people staring at their screens, too. The more "content" I created, the more I wasn’t feeling good about the work anymore. I knew i had to make a change.
I spent 5 years teaching video production at Clarkson University in northern New York. during that time i met so many talented, fascinating colleagues who didn’t have a great way to get their work in front of the wider public. i began wondering how to create a platform for scientists, researchers, and thinkers who have vital information to share, but whose Work was hard to find because they spent their time in the lab, and not on social Media.
That’s when I realized I could use my producing powers for good, and produce compelling lecture nights that supports the intellectual community in new and exciting ways. I could help academics to share big, important ideas, while also having a great time doing it.
So in January, 2026 common Knowledge was born and we found Immediate success. All of our lectures have sold out and we’re growing quickly.
if you’re the kind of person who’s curious about the world, who loves to learn something new, and who is looking for a great night out, welcome to common knowledge. I’m glad you’re here.
